A private AI workspace for your files, projects and team
A private AI workspace for files, projects, documents and team seats. No training on your data, 47 zero-retention models, admins who cannot read chats.
What makes a workspace private
Most privacy pages stop at the chat box. In daily use, an AI workspace also stores the PDFs you upload, the documents and sheets the AI builds with you, project notes and the reports from scheduled automations. Each of those needs the same commitments as a conversation. Conversations and files are encrypted in transit and at rest. Quad never uses conversations or files to train its own models, never sells user data and never shares workspace content with advertisers. Private Lane chat is sent with Zero Data Retention, only to model providers covered by a ZDR agreement. 47 of 51 chat models run there. Some models are only available on the Standard Lane, which asks you to confirm first and follows that provider's standard retention terms. You can export or delete your chats at any time.
Where each kind of work lives
Chats (Who can see it: Only you, unless you share one; What to know: Saved to your history, encrypted. Incognito chats stay out of your history, and temporary chat data is deleted from our servers within an hour.). Uploaded files (Who can see it: Only you; What to know: Encrypted at rest. New uploads are off in Incognito.). Projects (Who can see it: Only you, unless you share one; What to know: Keep a question's chats, files and notes together.). Documents, decks and sheets (Who can see it: Only you; What to know: Built beside the chat and exported only when you choose.). Forms (Who can see it: Anyone with the link, once you publish; What to know: Publishing is the point of a form. Responses are visible only to you.). Automation reports (Who can see it: Only you; What to know: Scheduled runs save their reports to your account.). Team seats (Who can see it: The member only; What to know: Admins see names, roles, usage totals and the audit log, never conversations or files.). The one thing no workspace can promise is that the model never sees your prompt. The provider has to process it to answer. The commitments above are about what happens after, and the zero data retention page lists which models keep nothing.
A private workspace for teams
Quad's team plans give every member a private workspace inside one company account. Team is $20 per seat a month and Business is $40, both on one invoice. Each seat has its own credits, so one heavy user cannot spend a colleague's balance. Admins manage seats, roles and budgets. They cannot read members' conversations or files. Members can share a single conversation with a teammate when they choose to. Every seat gets the model catalog for its tier, so nobody has to paste company material into a personal ChatGPT or Claude account to reach a model. The teams page covers the admin console, billing and seat changes.
Not training on your data, in practice
Many people search for a ChatGPT alternative that does not train on their data. Quad's answer is a default, not a setting. Nothing you type or upload is used to train Quad's own models, on any plan, and there is no switch to find. Model providers on the Private Lane do not retain your prompts either. Incognito chats are not saved to your history and do not read or add to your memory. Temporary chat data is deleted from our servers within an hour. New uploads are turned off, though you can still attach files already in your library.
Where a private workspace is not enough
Regulated data with contractual requirements, such as health records under a specific agreement, needs a review of the privacy policy, security page and subprocessor list by whoever owns compliance. Work that must never leave your network belongs on a self-hosted or on-device model, not a cloud workspace. Standard Lane models and Studio image and video generation follow the provider's own retention terms after you confirm. A workspace cannot protect a screen someone else can see, or a device you do not control. For most individuals and small teams, the realistic risk is not a breach but a casual default, such as chats used for training or a shared account. Quad's defaults remove those, and the private AI chat page goes deeper on the chat side.

Frequently asked questions
What is a private AI workspace?
An AI app where your chats, files, projects and drafts stay yours. In Quad that means encryption in transit and at rest, no training on your data, zero-retention model routes on the Private Lane and export or deletion whenever you want.
Is there a ChatGPT alternative that does not train on my data?
Yes. Quad never uses your conversations or files to train its own models, on any plan, with nothing to opt out of. It includes GPT, Claude and Gemini models, most of them on Zero Data Retention routes.
Can my company's admin read my AI chats?
Not in Quad. Team admins see names, email addresses, roles, usage totals and the audit log. Conversations and files stay private to each member unless the member shares a conversation.
Is Quad a secure AI workspace for teams?
It is built for it. Every seat has a private workspace and its own credits, admins manage seats without reading chats, and team plans start at $20 per seat. Have your compliance owner review the security page and subprocessor list for regulated data.
What does Incognito do in Quad?
An Incognito chat is not saved to your history and does not use or update your memory. Temporary chat data is deleted from our servers within an hour. New uploads are off, though you can attach files already in your library.
